In 2008, Madrid Lions RFC took upon themselves to support Charity Projects and has made it part of the ethos of the club. Our first project, suggested by one of our Colombian members, is aimed at children in the suburbs of the city of Medellin in Colombia and to help keep them off the streets by gathering them together to play rugby. By holding specific fund raising events and individual member donations, a modest sum has been collected which has allowed the club to provide a full new kit and training equipment for the youth of the Copacabana Rugby Club. The club wishes to continue offering Charity Support and will explore new endeavours.
